WHITE EMPATHY AND ALLYSHIP
Programs can include lectures on White empathy and allyship, and/or leading affinity groups for White people who are hoping to grow in racial identity development and awareness of impact on BIPOC people. Specialized tracks for Whiteness in academia.
EMPATHY TRAINING FOR ALLIED HEALTH PROFESSIONALS
Empathy workshops can be tailored to specific needs of groups. Designed for medical professionals and mental health/mental health adjacent roles. Discussion of what empathy is/is not, and how to be intentional about empathy even in time sensitive environments.
BROACHING SKILL DEVELOPMENT
Broaching components of identity as well as interpersonal dynamics caused by differences can feel overwhelming, and yet having these conversations can improve diagnostic accuracy and treatment success. Training includes the what, why, and how of broaching components such as race, ethnicity, gender identity, sexual identity, etc. as part of allied health interviewing practice.
WORKING THROUGH VALUES CONFLICT
We all have deeply personal values that impact the way we see and respond to the world and others around us. This material is designed to help people identify personal values, explore reactions to differences in value systems, and utilize skills of empathy and cultural humility to permit connection across differences.
